Following an extra inning loss earlier in the week, the Junior Cardinals were anxiously awaiting to travel to Geff to take on Jasper/Geff in a non conference match up. This contest started out all NCOE as they jumped out to 3-1 first inning lead. The Junior Cardinals added to this advantage in the second inning as they plated two more runs to extend their lead to 5-1. Another two runs in the third inning pushed the NCOE advantage to six runs. Jasper/Geff would score their second run of the contest in the bottom of the third inning but a monstrous five-run fourth inning would be all the Jr. Cards would need as they cruised to the 12-2 victory.
Preston Long, Cord Tucker, Erik Healy, Tate Riggs, and Colby Prather each knocked out two hits to lead NCOE in the game while Joel Hortin, Austin Surratt, and Ethan Bridges would collect one hit a piece. Tucker collected a whopping five RBI’s to top NCOE while C. Prather added two, and one a piece for Long, Healy, Hortin, and Surratt. Those scoring for the Jr. Cards were Preston Long (4), Erik Healy (2), Tate Riggs (2), Ethan Bridges (2), Colby Prather (1), and Zeke Baumgart (1).
Cord Tucker collected the victory on the bump allowing two runs (one earned) on just three hits while striking out five.
