The Michael Hillegas Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution continued their tradition this year of collecting valentines for veterans. Veterans Chairman Shelia Albright planned the project for the chapter. Second, third and fourth graders in Mr. Logan Thorp’s Art class at NCOE High School participated in the project by creating original hand-made valentines. Others supporting the project were Chapter daughters, and other friends including Eldorado Jr. Beta Club, the Norris City General Baptist, Eldorado Church of God and United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #718, Annex-WOVSED, WADI, and Coleman Tri-County also wrote Valentine greetings. WADI, MaryAnne & Bonnie provided refreshments for the activity at Library.
The cards saluted all veterans and thanked them for their service. The cards were then distributed to the VA in Marion.
