“The White County CEO’s week started Monday morning with time spent with Jackie Allison from the Hucks Warehouse. We were all amazed to hear how seamlessly the business runs and how they supply all 121 Hucks stores from right here in CARMI!
Thanks for taking time to show us around, Jackie!
“Jodi Duncan hosted us on Tuesday this week. Her story is one of a kind and she is full of incredible life advice. Jodi is a mentor for us this year and has always been a great supporter of CEO. We always love coming to visit her in Norris City. Thanks, Jodi!
“We spent Wednesday morning with David Coston and Daniel Kearns of United Energy. With one of our students looking to be an electrical engineer, this tour was vital. David’s story was amazing and we loved hearing how he’s networked and built a business for his family through the years.
‘The class’s final giving moment was spent with our own CEO board. This year’s CEO students have seen the importance this program holds in our community and was thrilled to be able to give a portion of their 25% to the Friends of CEO account. Friends of CEO is way for people to donate to the program without committing to an investor position. The account is used to help students who can’t afford proper clothing or equipment for the class. It is also used to fund opportunities for our students like the trip we took to St. Louis this year. The students are excited to be able to give the same opportunity to next year’s incoming class.
“Our last day this week was spent networking with the Mt. Carmel CEO program. The students were able to share about their personal businesses and ask questions to challenge each other. This was a great way to see how other programs work and we can’t wait to go see their trade show Monday night.”
