The CEO class has been hard at it the past couple of weeks.
“What better way to discuss business plans than over donuts?! Justin Dartt allowed us to pop in, even during tax season, to show us a business plan he made in college. It was so helpful to be reminded of how to create one of these. Banker day is next week so the students needed this extra help getting ready!”
“Tuesday morning one week was spent with our Carmi Mayor, Jeff Pollard. We love hearing his story and why he chose to stay in his home town. His persistence to better our community is admirable. His passion is contagious to our students. Thanks so much for taking time out of your day for us.”
“It’s recruitment time!!! Thursday and Friday was spent with juniors from NCOE and CWC. Applications are due March 20!!! It’s exciting to see the potential the class of 2020 has!!”
“The next Tuesday was spent with Botsch and Associates, going over sales tax. They were excellent at explaining the ins and outs of how to apply for a tax ID number and what to do to charge tax!”
“Wednesday was just amazing!!! We took our annual trip to the IOGA tradeshow and got to hear from four different people!!! We started with Matthew McArthy who gave us a history lesson about oil in our county. Then Sam Barbee spoke to us about what it takes to put the trade show on. We went to Bru Burger for lunch down town and spoke with Megan about the values the restaurant runs with. Then we headed over to TRU rentals and talked with Daryl about the renting business (he’s who we rent our pipe and drape from for our trade show). The day was incredible!
“We spent a morning with Cody Gottman from HD Bean jewelry. He was great at explaining how he came to love this community and how the jewelry industry works. Thanks for taking time for us!!”
