Andrew Patrick Horne, Carmi, reported to CPD on July 31 that someone stole his Galaxy J7 cell phone from his girlfriend’s residence on Rice Street.
Jimmy A. Sexton, Carmi, was arrested on July 31 for Domestic Battery. The victim had an injury to her right eye, which she said was caused by Sexton during an argument.
Angela G. Starnes, Carmi, was arrested on August 1, after being observed driving on Fifth Street with a known suspended driver’s license. She was taken into custody in the Pundrakes parking lot. She bonded out to $250 cash plus a $20 booking fee.
The Carmi Police Department took a criminal damage complaint in reference to someone spray painting at Burrell Park. The damage occurred to Shelter 5, where the suspects spray painted picnic tables, the shelter, the concrete pad for the shelter and the concrete pad for the grill. After reviewing video footage, it has been determined the damage occurred between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Friday August 2. The CPD is continuing to investigate. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the CPD.
Robert Larry York, Norris City was arrested on August 2 for three warrants out of Saline, Effingham and Jasper Counties. His total bail amount was $11,000.
Tiffany L. Williford, Carmi, was arrested in the CPD lobby on August 2, on a probation violation warrant out of Madison County, Illinois.
Margaret A. Kuykendall, Crossville, reported on August 2, that her vehicle had been damaged either at Wabash Christian Retirement Center or Wal-Mart.
Shana L. Axton, Evansville, Ind. was viewed walking down Main Street in Carmi near the Dairy Queen. She was placed under arrest on a Failure to Appear warrant for Driving While License Suspended. Her bond was set at $575.
James H. Earl, Carmi, was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on August 3. Earl was cited for Obstructed Windshield. He bonded out to $100 cash plus a $20 booking fee.
James Eli Earl, Carmi, was arrested on August 3 in the CPD lobby on a Failure to Appear warrant from White County Court. He bonded out to $200 cash, a $75 FTA fee plus a $20 booking fee.
On August 5, Melissa Melvin, aka Melissa Jack, Norris City, was arrested on a probation violation warrant out of Saline County, after a check during a traffic crash investigation at Main and Industrial Streets, revealed that she was wanted. Bond was set at $1,000. She bonded out to $400 cash bond, $600 court money and a $20 booking fee.
Robert A. Mullins, Crossville, was arrested on August 5, by a Crossville police officer. He was arrested in his back yard on a White County warrant for Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine. His bond was set at $5,000 cash.
John L. Strickland, Springerton, was pulled over on Stewart Street on August 6, for his left tail light not working. After running Strickland through dispatch, it was determined that he had a warrant out of Hamilton County for Deceptive Practices. Strickland posted $150 cash in addition to a $20 booking fee.
Sasha Marie Richards, Keensburg, Ill. was arrested on August 7 for Driving While License Suspended and cited for Cannabis and insurance violations. Richards posted $250 cash bond on the scene and was released.
