A loan from Banterra Bank to purchase two new ambulances for the White County Ambulance Service was given the final nod from the county board on Tuesday night at the February meeting. The cost to the county will be $220,000.00. After the safety tax referendum failed in November, it was decided to use the contingency fund for the purchase as the maintenance on the current fleet is deemed excessive and the vehicles have too much mileage on them.
