76 Clovers News for 21 Nov. 2018

The 76 Clovers held their third meeting of the year in Mrs. Marsh’s kindergarten classroom on November 13, 2018. The meeting was called to order at 3:37 p.m. by President Mallory Hobbs, and adjourned at 4:17 p.m. Mason Ray led the American Pledge and Addy Sutton led the 4-H pledge. Refreshments for the meeting were provided by Mallory and Mason Hobbs and Rebecca Brinkley. There were 24 members, three leaders and seven visitors present. Roll call and the October minutes were  read by Addy Sutton and approved. Mallory Hobbs did a talk about her book report, “Bridge to Terabithia.” Lydia Vinyard did a talk on her trip to Haiti. Aubrey Knight talked about going to the Fox Theatre in St. Louis and seeing the show, Aladdin. Macie McArthy did a baton routine for her special. Addy Sutton had a piano special and played Holly and Ivy, while Kate  Vollman played Jingle Bells for her piano special. Larkin Courson did different FortNite dances as his special

Old Business that was discussed is as follows: Kimberly, Marlee and Cooper Fuqua attended the last Federation meeting. The ‘76 Clovers represented well at the Evening of Excellence and did a great job on their skit. Abe Sutton attended the last Robotics class. Mallory Hobbs reported on the Computer Generated Art class that she, Mattie and Macie McArthy, Alivia Zenner and Larkin Courson attended. The ‘76 Clovers donated money for a “winter” basket that was auctioned off at the St. Jude benefit.

New business: Club members brought filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child; the Grayville Christmas parade is on November 24; a candle making workshop is on Dec 1, followed by the Carmi Christmas parade that evening; the Federation pizza party is on December 6, and members are asked to take a canned good item; Crossville Christmas parade is December 7; and HCE Cookies with Santa is on December 8.

Our next meeting will be held December 11, and members are asked to bring canned food items. Aubrey and Hayden Knight volunteered to buy Christmas gifts for two children off of the Angel Tree. Members played the Gratitude game and sang Happy Birthday to Kennedy Cook and Mallory Hobbs.
